A colossal hole allows a new hybrid superyacht to surpass all rivals

Every revolution begins with one person. For superyachts you can start with the Italian designer, Pierpaolo Lazarini, who recently shared his radical concept of a yacht. The design called “The Shape” is certainly something you’ve never seen before and if it succeeds, it can revolutionize the world of yachts.

According to his website, Lazarini has spent many years designing for the automotive industry. And he does just as well when it comes to designing yachts. What is striking about its new concept is the carved center, which gives the yacht a futuristic look, and the smooth finish and aerodynamic structure are also the main gifts.

Although the title of the yacht is not very impressive, it boasts some remarkable features. In what looks like a multi-deck design, the yacht can offer its passengers personal space, which seems to be little in the offer of ordinary yachts.

Sitting on top in the design there is enough space for solar panels that could power this yacht silently and in an environmentally friendly way. The carved cavity in the center has windows that can contribute to the aesthetics of the space, especially when they flood moonlight on the lower deck.

We do not yet know if the concept is practical enough and what challenges may arise when one tries to bring this yacht into the water. However, this is not Lazzarini’s first marine concept. Rather, he designed high-speed yachts with a length of 328 feet (100 m) and plans to launch a concept for a giga-yacht with a length of 1000 feet (322 m).

Lazzarini also prototyped water vehicles for only two people. Over time, it incorporates solar panels into its yachts and even offers VTOL concepts which can develop a speed of 300 km / h.

Lazzarini’s interests extend to the architecture, which is largely inspired by UFOs, while he also delves into electronics with a mini portable laptop and a personal smartphone printer.
