AirheartA women-based travel startup in Austin has raised $ 250,000 in pre-growth funding to expand its collaborative travel platform.
The pre-seed financing round has been with the participation of undisclosed investor and entrepreneurial angels before opening a larger seed financing round. The raised capital will allow Airheart to present a full version of its platform for passengers to easily create and share travel itineraries.
Airheart was founded in May 2021 with a mission to facilitate travel at a time when COVID-19 restrictions have made it more difficult than ever. By entering its route, users of the platform will get real-time information that will allow them to avoid planning mistakes and gain inspiration from other users. Lindsey Renken, one of the founders and CEO of Airheart, said about the startup’s vision:
“After a long blockade due to the pandemic, we are seeing a desire to return to the world and start exploring again with friends and family. Airheart’s mission is to bring simplicity to the planning process by helping our travelers share ideas and routes with others. “We want to help people travel with confidence.”
Although it has been less than 6 months, the startup’s entry platform has already provided direct data to many users to choose their travel destinations. The full platform is expected to be launched in the spring of 2022, introducing new social and career planning features.
The aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cross to travel and in the tourism industry, consumers have found that they are not able to easily access information about the restrictions introduced in different countries. Airheart aims to change this so that users can easily find out if they can fly to a destination based on their origin, vaccine status and more, while helping to mitigate the effects of the pandemic by boosting the industry’s recovery.
