Autotech Startup RoboTire secures $ 7 million in Series A funding


RoboTire, a Detroit-based Autotech startup, has grown $ 7.5 million in serial financing to bring automation and robotics to the pneumatic industry.

The funding round is led by The Reinalt-Thomas Corporation, which conducts businesses such as Discount Tire and America’s Tire, with the participation of Detroit Venture Partners, Automotive Ventures, 640 Oxford Ventures and a number of angel investors. Founded in 2018 by Victor Darolfi, the startup has aimed to revolutionize the tire industry by designing a system that improves the experience of changing tires by reducing robot time by less than 15 minutes. The startup has already obtained patents for its automotive systems, and has gained an advantage in an industry where most competitors are still waiting.
