Facebook is offering a way for creators to track Apple’s payouts

One of the problems with developers and makers at the Apple store is that they have to pay the company a 15-30% cut from app sales, subscriptions, as well as microtransactions. This is something that some companies like Epic have created a big problem with and they have tried to sue Apple over.

So it looks like Facebook is trying to find a way to pay Apple their cuts. In a post on Facebook, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that they have devised a way to slash Apple’s bills. This will come in the form of a common network that developers and creators can use to help them get around paying Apple at a 15-30% cut.

Zuckerberg said, “We are running an advertising link for creators for their submissions. When people sign up to use this link, the creators will keep all the money they earn (tax deductible). “ It’s unclear if there will be any issues with Apple’s terms and conditions, but it’s probably something Facebook is willing to take advantage of.

In a way it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Facebook is trying to do this. A recent report suggested that Facebook and other social media platforms lost about $ 10 billion in advertising revenue due to Apple’s App Tracking Transparency appearance, so it could be Facebook’s way of trying to recoup some of that money by not giving Apple a cut of registration fees.
