Use the Alexa Echo Device as a Bluetooth speaker without WiFi or Internet

So, you bought a new Amazon Echo device but don’t have a strong WiFi connection right now? Do you already have a WiFi plan but want to use Alexa to play music over Bluetooth? Do not worry; everything is right, from setting up Alexa to great to plugging into your Bluetooth phone.

Before we get started, if you’ve already connected your Echo device with your phone’s Bluetooth, then you don’t need the following steps. Turn it on, and it will automatically connect to your phone’s Bluetooth. If not, connect manually from the phone’s Bluetooth list.

Step 1- Activate WiFi Hotspot Phone

  1. To get started, turn on the WiFi hotspot on your phone.
  2. On Android, you can use it internally Editor > WiFi & Connectivity > WiFi Hotspot.
  3. IPhone users, on the other hand, can turn on the top from the top Editor > Personal hotspot.

Step 2- Install and Set Up the Echo Alexa Device

  1. Well, plug your Alexa Echo device into a power source.
  2. Install and open the Alexa app on your phone.
  3. Sign up for your Amazon account if you haven’t already.
  4. Click above It’s better > Add Tools.
  5. Select Amazon Echo and your model- Echo, Echo Dot, Dot Plus, and others.
  6. Once Alexa enters the set -top box and the lights start flashing, follow the instructions to proceed further.
  7. Allow access to site services when activated.
  8. Then, select your WiFi hotspot phone and enter the password to connect.

After the device is set up, ask Alexa to make sure it is up and working.

Step 3- Connect Alexa to your Bluetooth phone

  1. Open Editor on your iPhone or Android phone.
  2. Go to Bluetooth ma ki.
  3. Well, say, “Alexa, bump”Or“Alexa, connect via Bluetooth. ”
  4. On your phone, click on it Add New Things. Let it search for available machines.

The Echo device will automatically connect to your phone every time you turn it on, even when not connected to WiFi. If not, just turn on the Bluetooth settings on your phone and close your Echo from the list of installed devices.

Can you use the Echo Dot as a corded speaker with your phone?

All Echo devices come with AUX ports to connect external speakers. However, Echo Dot, Spot, Show, and Auto have no features. Only the Echo 3rd gen, Echo Plus, and Echo Studio have accessories.

This means that even though you can connect to external speakers, you can’t use your phone to play audio via the AUX cable to your Echo Dot or other non -compatible Echo devices. I tried to do it with my Echo Dot, and it didn’t work for obvious reasons.

Can Alexa work without effort?

Amazon Echo devices must be installed inside the wall mount at all times. Without power, the Alexa device will not clear or work. However, you have options to use Alexa devices without power.

Amazon sells a portable converter called the Echo Input that comes with a 4800mAh battery for listening to music. But if you already have an Echo or Echo Dot, you can use the third -party battery pack available on Amazon to run the Echo on the battery.

Again, you need WiFi to use Alexa (unless you want to use it as a Bluetooth speaker). In that case, you can connect to your phone WiFi hotspot. If a power outage is the reason, you can get a small UPS for your WiFi router. Links are provided below.
