Stryker Cats, a rescued savannah cat turned social media personality, has launched its own NFT collection to help the Zoological Wildlife Foundation.
Launched in October 2021 by Instagram and Tiktok’s favorite, Stryker aims to use Internet reputation to have a positive impact on the world. The concept behind the project is simple: to allow collectors to acquire one or more of Stryker’s NFT images and a portion of the proceeds to help wildlife live in the living conditions it once lived. In the “words” of the Stryker cat:
“It’s so sad to have so many cats in need of good food and good houses. This year on my birthday we are doing something nice to raise money for cat welfare. I am launching my NFT and we will give a part of it to help Zoological “.
The project will follow a similar approach to most projects in the NFT collection, offering art based on the feline nature. These pieces of art will have a unique focus on pop culture, style and color palette. The NFTs will be sold in Phase 1 of the project, following the next 3 phases in the coming months.
These phases will go to $ 25,000 to promote community-generated content, create a business club for the benefit of the owners, raffle off special edition pieces and, most importantly, donate to the Miami Zoological Wildlife Foundation. To encourage community participation, the project will also be raffling off a Lamborghini Urus.
Although the pre-sale was scheduled for November 11, the team decided to close due to unforeseen problems. The group mentioned this decision via Twitter:
With that NFTs becoming increasingly popular among collectors and with 8.2 followers of Stryker’s “Guinness World Record” TikTok, the project has quickly become a major community event.
