The interview had a lot to say about Microsoft’s Xbox gaming platform and covered a number of topics, including Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda which led to Starfield becoming Xbox and PC -only. In the interview, Spencer indicated that they would give Elder Scrolls VI a similar treatment.
Spencer said, “It’s not to punish any other platform, as I strongly believe all situations can continue to happen. But in order to be on the Xbox, I want to be able to bring the whole package. that’s what we’ve got. And that’s true when I think of Elder Scrolls VI. That’s true when I think of any of our franchises. “
At this time, it is not clear when Elder Scrolls VI will be released. Bethesda is still working on Starfield which is slated for a 2022 launch, which means it will be six more years before Elder Scrolls VI becomes a reality.
